Safe Use Of Veterinary Medicine

This one day course is designed for anyone wishing use vet medicines safely and will lead to the NPTC  level 2 Nationally recognised qualification.

Course prerequisite: None however delegates must be over 16 years of age.

Certificating Body: NPTC

Course Length: 1 day + assessment

Course Times: 9.30am to 4.00pm or to suit client.

Cost: £125 + Certification Cost

Venue: Marsh Hill Centre, Marsh, Aylesbury. HP17 8ST or to suit client

Maximum Trainees: 6

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Comply with current, relevant health and safety legislation
  • Follow animal health plan
  • Administer a range of veterinary medicine types, safely and humanely
  • Store and transport veterinary medicines correctly
  • Maintain health of user, public and animals
  • Dispose of unwanted veterinary medicines safely
  • Record the use of veterinary medicines
  • Prevent the unnecessary pain and unnecessary distress to the animals
  • Identify signs of health and ill-health in animals.
